What Should I Do Following a Workplace Injury?

Here are some steps to take first when injured on the job.

What Benefits Can I Receive from Workers' Compensation?

This system covers both full-time and part-time employees. However, exceptions exist, such as for a small business with less than three employees.

You must wait at least seven days to be eligible for wage-loss benefits after your workplace injury. If injury prohibits working for more than 14 days, the first seven days’ wages are also covered by wage-loss benefits. State law permits that the maximum rate of wage loss coverage is equal to 80 percent of the state average weekly wage for the year before the injury.
